A importância do cogumelo auricularia: uma revisão bibliográfica

Abstract

The genus Auricularia (Auriculariaceae family) is characterized by gelatinous basidiocarp, brown or black color, usually found in tree trunks, occurring in tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. The objective of this work was to carry out an integrative review on the Auricularia mushroom in biotechnology. An integrative review was carried out, considering the extensive research and the stages developed in scientific works. No limitation was made regarding the year of publication. To carry out the search for scientific papers in the database, the following words and combinations in Portuguese were used: “Cogumelo Auricularia”; “Fungus Biotechnology”. In sequence, the works resulting from the research were analyzed, eight works were selected, those that were added within the objective of the present work were chosen, and those that did not present content on mushrooms and their importance for the elaboration of the work were excluded. According to the search terms, scientific research was accessed between theses, dissertations and articles. The reading of the titles and abstracts of the bibliographic productions began. In view of this integrative review, a survey was carried out in the literature of the genus Auricularia and compared with the best known species in the world. A qualitative and quantitative approach was used. Research is defined as basic to generate knowledge. It was noticed, through the study, that mushrooms are rich in active compounds and promote several important biological activities for their biotechnological use in medicine.
