Parintins que ninguém vê: Um olhar fotográfico sobre o bairro Lady Laura e a Ocupação do Castanhal

Abstract

The city of Parintins since its emergence has gone through various occupations, which gave rise to various clay, the city is also marked by the lack of public policies in various areas. These are problems that have lasted for a long time and are noticeable mainly in the peripheral areas of Parintins. This photo documentary seeks to portray some of these places, namely: the Lady Laura neighborhood and the occupation of Castanhal. To understand and guide this work, photography and photojournalism are approached with the concepts of Maya (2008) and Amar (2005), the photodocumentary with Boni (2008). The border briefly lists the history of occupations in the city, the difference between occupations and invasions from Almeida (2006) and Boulos (2012), and the historical of the locations surveyed. The research is initially configured as exploratory, since there is little work done on these sites. With this work we intend to show the reality of the people who live in the Lady Laura and the occupation of the Castanhal, literally abandoned by the public authorities and the parintinense media in general.
