Abstract

Abstract The need to recover, maintain and renew health is one of the bases for offering medicinal methods, technological or not, which are institutionalized by laws and decrees to improve the quality of life of the Brazilian population. Integrative and Complementary Practices are offered by the Unified Health System and work on knowledge and treatment of diseases through ancient traditional methods that have been gaining international recognition by the most diverse Regulatory Bodies. That said, there is a need to create a space so that such practices can be offered more easily and their institutional infrastructure can be legitimized in the city of Manaus.
