Os elementos culturais e valores sociais nipônicos ensinados na EETI Bilíngue Professor Djalma da Cunha Batista: a influência na vida dos alunos

Abstract

The present research aims to identify the japanese cultural elements and social values in the cultural activities carried out at Professor Djalma da Cunha Batista Bilingual Full-Time State School, located in the city of Manaus, and analyze the influence of these aspects on the students lives, thus contributing to future research in the educational field in the state of Amazonas. To achieve this, theoretical surveys were conducted on the concepts of culture and social values in the school environment and in the japanese cultural context, as well as directed interviews with the school manager and teachers for the purpose of a bibliographic survey regarding the activities carried out. A semi-open questionnaire was also administered to 9th-grade students to collect data for the analysis of the influence of these activities on their lives. This research follows the theoretical assumptions of Lev Semionovich Vygotsky (2007) regarding sociocultural theory, which argues that human knowledge is a social construction resulting from the interaction among individuals.
