Abstract

The present report aims to describe and report all the activities carried out during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (MSI), an essential component for obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). The internship was carried out at the Dairy Quality Laboratory - LABLAC, of the Academic Unit of the Institute of Social Sciences, Education, and Animal Science (ICSEZ), the old building of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), located in the municipality of Parintins/AM. The internship activities took place from September 2, 2024, to November 15, 2024, totaling 300 hours. During this period, activities were carried out that included collecting milk samples for physicochemical analysis, somatic cell count (SCC), and monitoring the routine activities carried out at the Luiz Lourenço de Souza exhibition park, learning about hygienic milking management, silage production, and nutritional management of cows and calves. In view of this, the completion of the mandatory supervised internship contributed to professional and ethical development, making it possible to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom theory.
