Práxis pedagógica à luz de ensinamentos de Platão: reflexões no ensino médio

Abstract

This work originated from the report of an experience of classroom observation, through the discipline Supervised Curricular Internship I, in a State School, in the east zone of Manaus, IV stage, in the year 2023. Because the experience proved to be unique and relevant, as an introduction of a future teacher to the educational environment in which he will work, we sought, in a second moment, to reflect and resignify the results of the experience, in the light of a study on some of Plato's conceptions of education, in the work Republic, focusing on the role of the virtue of justice in the paideia of the citizens of the polis idealized by the philosopher of Athens. In order to better situate Plato's proposal, clarifying, in particular, the philosopher's concern regarding poetic content considered harmful by him, a brief historical contextualization of Greek paideia before Socrates was also carried out. Authors such as Werner Jaeger, Giovanni Reale, Lidia Maria Rodrigo, Samuel Scolnicov, among others who approach Plato's thought from the perspective of paideia, as well as contemporary thinkers in Education, such as Fábio Vargas, Douglas Barros and Renato Velloso, make up the theoretical framework of the monograph.
