A potencialização da psicomotricidade na educação infantil e o desenvolvimento integral da criança

Abstract

In this qualitative work, we present the research entitled “The enhancement of Psychomotricity in Early Childhood Education and the integral development of the Child”, with the main objective of understanding the importance of the teacher exercising the role of adequate mediation in pedagogical practice to enhance the psychomotor development of the child. Psychomotricity is a science that studies the relationship between the motor and psychic functions of the child. In other words, the relationship that exists between the body and the mind. Wallon (1925) observed human movements, concluding that these are fundamental categories as an instrument in the construction of the psyche. Especially in the Early Childhood Education stage, it becomes extremely important that psychomotor skills and abilities are worked on, through interactions and games throughout this phase of development, constituting the foundation for the child's adequate performance in the other subsequent stages of education. Data collection for analysis of the study problem was carried out through bibliographic research with an exploratory survey of scientific productions of TCCs, Dissertations and Theses that deal with the theme in question. The aim is to contribute with reflections based on studies already available in academic repositories, in the hope of helping educators to reframe their view of their own practice, regarding its relationship with psychomotricity in Early Childhood Education, valuing play and social interaction as fundamental pillars to enhance the child's integral development, motor, cognitive and affective functions, among others that are fundamental.
