Maturidade da Indústria 4.0: um estudo de caso sobre os processos operacionais em uma indústria eletroeletrônica do Polo Industrial de Manaus

Abstract

This study analyzes the Industry 4.0 maturity level of a large company in the electronics segment located in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM). The study is justified by the need to understand how local industries are facing the technological transition in one of the largest industrial parks in Latin America. The adopted methodology is characterized as a quantitative and descriptive case study, utilizing primary data collected through the PIMM 4.0 model from 85 collaborators. The results indicate that the organization has a General Maturity Index of 2.49, classifying it at Level 2 (Technological). Detailed analysis revealed a strategic asymmetry: while the Interoperability dimension (2.77) and data management show high indices, Manufacturing and Operations (2.27) remains a critical bottleneck, due to the low autonomy of equipment and lack of machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. It is concluded that the company experiences an "administrative digitalization," necessitating prioritized investments in the physical modernization of the shop floor (retrofitting) to achieve full 4.0 maturity.
