Abstract

The Supervised Curricular Internship was carried out at the Vegetable Crops and Ornamental Plants Sector of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Federal University of Amazonas, aiming to integrate theoretical knowledge with professional practice in Agronomy. The activities included laboratory organization and cleaning, inventory and cataloging of equipment and materials, data systematization, temperature monitoring of the cold storage chamber, and support for the conservation of traditional vegetable seeds. The importance of conserving Amazonian agrobiodiversity was highlighted, particularly in the context of genetic erosion caused by the introduction of commercial cultivars. Monitoring storage conditions and organizing databases contributed to maintaining seed physiological quality and improving the efficiency of research and extension activities. The internship enabled the development of technical and organizational skills and reinforced the understanding of Agronomy’s role in conserving genetic resources and valuing local knowledge.
