Violência contra a mulher: um estudo com instituições que atendem mulheres em situação de violência no município de Parintins-AM

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence against women constitutes a serious violation of human rights and expresses the gender inequality present in society. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the services provided to women experiencing violence by the specialized technical team in the municipality of Parintins-AM, with an emphasis on the work of the coordinators of the services involved. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach was adopted, based on bibliographic research and field research. Data collection was carried out at the Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (CREAS) and the Specialized Police Station, through semi-structured interviews applied to the CREAS coordinator and the police station clerk. The results show that the services provided to women experiencing violence in Parintins-AM are organized through an intersectoral network, predominantly composed of the CREAS and the Specialized Police Station, which work in an articulated manner to ensure protection, appropriate referrals, and continuous support for victims. At the CREAS, the humanized reception, qualified listening, and psychosocial support offered by the multidisciplinary team stand out. At the police station, the speed in issuing Emergency Protective Measures and the adoption of procedures aimed at preventing revictimization, such as the separation of service flows, were observed. Despite the identified potential, professionals point to challenges that compromise the effectiveness of the network, such as dropout from follow-up, emotional and economic dependence of victims, structural limitations of services, and the absence of programs focused on monitoring the aggressor. It is concluded that the network of services for women in situations of violence in the municipality of Parintins-AM shows significant progress and plays a fundamental role in addressing this problem.
