Política de assistência social e inclusão socioassistencial: mediações teórico-práticas a partir das vivências de estágio supervisionado em serviço social no Núcleo Girassol

Abstract

This work, entitled "Social Assistance Policy and Socio-assistential Inclusion: Theoretical-Practical Mediations Based on Supervised Social Work Internship Experiences at the Girassol Center," is part of the broader debate on social protection in the municipality of Parintins. Thus, given the growing commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and guaranteeing social rights, understanding the role played by the Socio-assistential Inclusion and Adapted Activities Center (Girassol) becomes essential to highlight how programs and projects within the scope of Social Assistance can be effectively implemented in the territory. The overall objective is to analyze the contribution of the Girassol Center to people with disabilities, considering the services provided by the multidisciplinary team, from the perspective of the theoretical-practical mediations experienced during Supervised Social Work Internship I and II. This is a bibliographic and documentary research, but also exploratory, since the work is anchored in the daily life experienced by the proponent during the execution of the Supervised Internship in Social Work I and II, which were carried out at the Girassol Center in 2025. Thus, the last part of the work includes descriptive summaries of the internship routine. The activities developed by the Girassol Center are crucial to promoting the active participation and improvement of the quality of life of the target audience, especially those who are bedridden. These actions demonstrate not only a technical methodology, but also a deep empathy with the users and their families. By including and involving, the Center offers practical support, alleviates the family burden and contributes significantly to the physical and mental well-being of those served.
