A construção das personagens e das temáticas a partir da oralidade em Angu de Sangue, de Marcelino Freire

Abstract

The work analyzed the work Angu de Sangue (2000) by Marcelino Freire, discussing how literary language that seeks to imitate orality contributes to the construction of characters and the themes presented in the book. Were analyzed the short stories “Muribeca” and “Angu de Sangue” in order to explain the analysis. The author is known for this and other books of the genre tale that emphasizes excluded figures, which are on the sidelines of society, themes that are part of the Brazilian social reality. Through the stylistic strategy that imitates orality, Freire puts his characters at the center of discourse, establishing a symbolic dialogue between character and reader, to talk about the issue of orality in the author’s work, we raised some studies, Almeida (2010) Ferraz (2016) and Marcuschi (2010) that analyze and identify the influence of orality for the meaning of their tales. To undertake reading and analysis, authors such as Dalcastagne (2012), Pelegrini (2005) and others were used, who discuss and deal with violence and marginalized, as well as studies that point to the construction of the most common characters and themes in Freire’s literature from authors such as Pereira (2013), Silva and Oliveira (2017). The research methodology was a bibliographic nature, with qualitative analysis of criticism texts and literary studies. The hypothesis with which we work is that orality serves to bring the reader closer to the reality of the marginalized characters, giving them a “voice” that constitute them as subjects to the narrated stories, thus bringing literature closer to social reality.
