Abstract

This report presents the activities carried out during the Supervised Internship at Tecpro Projetos e Construções Ltda. between March and May. During this period, the intern worked five hours per day in the reinforced concrete structural design department. The primary objective of the internship was to provide practical application of the knowledge acquired throughout the Civil Engineering undergraduate program, allowing direct contact with the daily activities of a structural design office. Throughout the internship, activities included the preparation of tendon layout and tendon profile drawings for prestressed concrete structures, the development of trussed slab designs, the verification of the need for reinforcement in precast joists using calculation spreadsheets, and the detailing of slab reinforcement using the CYPECAD, AutoCAD, ADAPT, and Microsoft Excel software packages. These activities enabled a deeper understanding of structural design, reinforcement detailing, interpretation of technical standards, and the use of computational tools widely employed in the construction industry. Furthermore, the internship contributed to the development of technical, organizational, and professional skills, highlighting the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the education and professional training of a civil engineer.
