A ilustração científica como ferramenta educacional no ensino de ciências

Abstract

Scientific illustration has been used since the dawn of humanity, when the first hominids represented their culture and knowledge experienced through rock art, recording aspects of animals, plants, humans and other biological structures on the walls of caves. In the present work, the importance of scientific illustration for science teaching was investigated. We tried to analyze its importance and the use of scientific illustration in textbooks and in the classroom. The present work was developed at Escola Municipal Profª Graziela Correa de Oliveira and Escola Municipal Olavo Bilac, located in the urban area of the city of Benjamin Constant - AM. The target audience of the research are 9 (nine) professors who teach the discipline of Natural Sciences in the morning and afternoon shifts of both institutions. The study carried out showed that scientific illustration has gained more space in the lives of teachers and consequently in the lives of students. The methods that this tool is used in the classroom engages the student in a better assimilation of content, in addition to learning about illustrative techniques, one also learns that science is intertwined with art.
